Thank you to everyone who has followed me over from Pepper & Pig and Street Scholars!  I have enjoyed my time with both blogs and it feels right now to channel what spare time I have in to Style On By. Welcome to the newcomers, I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Here is a little about me to help you catch up.

My studies, which will finally wrap up this year, have been in Advertising and Marketing. I’m particularly interested in fashion marketing and digital media, including the power of the blog. The fashion industry has become consumer driven in so many ways, which excites me both as a consumer and as a blogger. Blogs enable us to access new ideas and perspectives and most importantly, get inspired. I love that I can contribute to this.

I think it is important for bloggers to know their place of value. To me, this is about inspiring people, not dictating my idea of fashion. I think individuality is more important in today’s setting than ever before.

The task of describing one’s own style is confronting. To me, style is fluid, personal and ever-evolving. However, a woman should always have a defining sense of it. Mine is classic but very much underpinned by playful elements of embellishment. I have always been drawn to furs, leather, texture, statement jewels and as you will come to see, shoes. Clothing is a canvas and accessories are where I find the magic happens.

I have not studied textiles, journalism or photography; these are simply my interests. However, I will always have an opinion to share with you and beautiful photos to match. Hopefully I can inspire you, challenge you or at the very least entertain you!
